2008:
FMA re-introduces Business Development Alliances
The
Federal Marketing Alliance (FMA) is resurrecting the concept that
got us successfully started in the Federal sector ten years ago.
In January of 1998, we established a “Healthcare Alliance”.
This alliance consisted of bringing together several groupings of
companies in a synergistic way, not a competitive one, for the purposes
of marketing their products and services in the Defense/Federal
healthcare sector. The original concept was to:
1) create a more aggressive business development program enabling
companies, regardless of size, to target larger opportunities;
2) generate higher visibility to program managers, procurement officials
and contracting officers in the Federal sector; and
3) reduce the cost of business development by spreading it across
multiple companies.
The Healthcare Alliance was a very successful way for the FMA to
introduce its capabilities and the capabilities of its clients.
Over time, many alliance members opted to become more traditional
clients and the concept was phased out in 2001.
Now,
in 2008 with growing economic uncertainty upon us, it makes sense
to re-introduce a successful business model. We need to get back
to the basics because they matter. However, unlike 1998, the FMA
today has ten years experience and has garnered over $157 million
in contracts for our clients. Today we offer a wide range of consulting
services designed to enhance your company’s abilities in Business
Development, Contracting, Program Management, Lobbying and Contract
Funding. Visit our website, www.federalmarketing.com for more specific
information on these services.
The
re-introduced alliance concept will be in the form of “Business
Development Alliances” (BDAs). These alliances will consist
of two to three companies that have synergistic capabilities and
can work non-competitively to market as a team, depending on opportunities.
These alliances will also be carefully scrutinized and agreed upon
by our members. Our goal is to complement each alliance with a strong
past performance, SBA 8(a) or other certification and established
relationships with major Prime contractors. In this way we make
each Alliance a strong competitor and market their strengths aggressively.
The value proposition is that participating alliance members can
have their government business development expenses cut by two thirds.
In today’s uncertain economy, it is a solid “ROI”
as the government is going to be a consistent and steady customer
in the years to come.
Our
Business Development Alliances (BDAs) will include the following
sectors:
·
Healthcare
· Management/Administrative
· Distance Learning
· Engineering
· Communications
· Information Technology
· Logistics
· Law Enforcement/Security
For more information or to see if a BDA is available for your company,
